"Mementoes"
Tanya's
creative
thought
process is
duplicitous,
but the camera
is her
sketchbook.
She was
influenced by
socially
conscious
portraiture
and
environmental
documentary
photographers.
Her vast photography techniques utilize traditional film, alternative processes, contemporary digital technologies and making handmade box cameras; however, her extensive training as a painter became a distinct asset for her imagery as she developed her own unique "footprint" through photo-based collage and mixed-media paintings.
