Women's Self Defense at CCAC
Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm
Jan. 23-June 11
Defense
is a natural
instinct;
knowing how to
properly
defend one's
self is a life
skill that all
women must
learn.
Violence
against women
is growing at
an alarming
rate - in the
home, on the
job, and on
the street.
Studies show
that women are
willing to
defend others
important to
them, but
often not
themselves.
This program focuses on empowering the most important person in the world: YOU!
Learn and practice the "forceful resistance strategies" that are effective in thwarting attacks. Tap into and develop the innate power for aggressive, effective self-protection. The course is designed to cultivate psychological and physical training and enable students to be more safe and confident. Geared toward adults but teenage girls are encouraged to attend if accompanied by an adult. Participants should wear loose-fitting attire (sweat shirts, jeans, etc.) and sneakers.
