NEW! Christi Workshop Series

Fostina Dixon-KilgoeCCAC has launched a year-round Arts education component to its bi-annual Christi Awards. This program features 2009 Christi Award Artists presenting workshops for the community. *All programs are held at CCAC and are free and open to the public.*

The first is
a Jazz Workshop with Fostina Dixon-Kilgoe on Monday, May 10, 5:30-7:00 PM*
In the program, participants can:
*Learn about Fostina's musical journey from childhood to professional career.
*Gain insight into discipline, practice habits and the Art of improvisation.
*Be engaged in a participatory improv activity, giving all an opportunity to experiment with music, voice, dance and spoken word. /For this component, participants are asked to bring a musical instrument, song, dance and/or poetry.

*Coming in June: Sneaker Design Workshop with Michael Kalmbach, Saturday, June 5, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM*
Participants are asked to bring a pair of clean or gently-worn leather sneakers. Recommended for ages 8 & up and limited to 15 students.

Registration for Artsummer Camp Now Open

Christina Cultural Arts Center is offering Artsummer Camp once again this year! The camp will run from June 21 to July 30 for children ages 5 to 12 years old.

Children will not only experience visual arts, drama, music and other arts, but other activities like golf, gardening, swimming. The camp will also include field trips to places like the Philadelphia Zoo, Delaware Children's Museum and Adrenaline Skating Center. Beforecare will begin at 7:30 a.m. and aftercare will go until 5:30 p.m.
